Rubia
This is an old character named Rubia I did an year or so ago, she always looked interesting to me, even though it's not the most original idea of all, but in the near future I'm planning to make a new version with improved design, we'll see how it goes.
An old first sketch of a random character, this had to be done in full digital!
Taking the original sketch as reference, I start laying down the basic line work, changing things as I go creating various lines of motion to keep it away from being too stiff and boring.
Linework completed, dark background and clear base tone.
Time to add some shadows here and there and also some lighting, it will all make sense after color.
And speaking of color, here are a few color palettes I've chosen after the many other ones I did, the one highlighted in green is the one I will go for.
And so there she is, probably i will draw her another time in future, maybe with a few improvements.
